The Board having assembled proceeded to examine P.C.A.175 John T. McGuire and find that at present he appears to be of low mentality and greatly impressed with his physical weakness. The board is satisfied that recently he was admitted and remained in hospital for more than a week for a condition which was quite unconnected with any organic lesion and was of functional nervous origin. His present reasons for being in hospital are also considered to be of a similar nature.

Despite the fact that his present loss of nervous control (probably psychasthenia) may be due to shock caused by the disturbances of the last 7 or 8 years, the board does not feel justified in stating that he will ever be fit for service as a police officer and does consider that he is unfit for such service.
